Rosine's Restaurant   

Yesterday was my birthday. I had never been to Rosine's but have heard a lot about the delicious cakes they have there. So I chose Rosine's as the place to go for my birthday dinner. I thought the food was great. The clam chowder is very delicious. The Shrimp Louiswas very good also. I enjoyed a sampling of my families meals. Everything I tasted had a very good flavor. Everyone was completely satisfied with dinner. Then for dessert we order a piece of cake. I had the Bannana Nut Cream cake. My son told me the slices were big but he should have said huge. It was very taste, a rich bannana flavor with a hint of appricot or peach flavoring on the bannana's. It was a six layer cake with bannana's on top with wipped cream and nuts. then cake and between layers was cream and more bannana's I brought home more than half of my piece. My son had the German Chocolate cake. The taste I samples was very good also. The restaurant has a nice family fealing. It was very busy all evening.

another great find in Monterey, the Minestrone soup is to die for, as well as just about anything else on the menu, another place that I go each and every time I visit the Monterey Peninsula

Its not only that the food is exquisite and the dessert to die for, but the family behind the restuarant in the kitchen and behind the counter do their best to make the restuarant its best, which is the best! Its great to see a restaurant compltely supported by the family running it. And at Rosines thats exactly how the Culcasi family is! ( Great great great food and desserts are made my jimmy culcasi!! i should know i am Rosines grand daughter!)
