Though Cibo means "food" in Italian, this spot is also a popular cigar/scotch/jazz lounge. The crowd is a mix of older, moneyed types and singles in their 30s and 40s. Rich reds, dramatic lighting and live jazz give Cibo an authentic lounge ambiance. Be sure to bring along an appetite for stogies and scotch -- Cibo carries a half-dozen brands of cigars, and more than 23 varieties of single-malt scotches and small-batch bourbons. The bar also offers an extensive selection of wine, cocktails and other spirits.A few regular bands perform both original music and covers of popular oldies (think "Mustang Sally"; "Soul Man") every night of the week except Mondays. Among the regulars are the Al James Band, whose brand of R&B is reminiscent of early Stevie Wonder with an Al Jarreau twist; and Euphoria, which mixes Latin, contemporary and Brazilian influences to create a sound that's a little more Peaches and Herb than Joao Gilberto.
