Seafood restaurants on wharves are usually mediocre tourist traps -- especially those with smashing views. Abalonetti, however, has managed to break that rule in every way. It's a breezy, stylish, polished space with a charming dining terrace, and the kitchen produces tasty Southern French and Italian seafood dishes, from boullabaise to velvety grilled calamari (and eleven other calamari preparations). There's also a great antipasto bar and a fine wine list featuring Italian bottles and interesting Central Coast selections.

Not as good as the Fishwife or Passionfish, in Pacific Grove.

best around
best calamari, cooked 8 ways, fresh lobster and abalone. By far the richest and best clam chowder around, a must try. Bartenders are wonderful, and they have the best waitors/waitresses in the area. Great veiw of the sea lions, esspecially when you are outside. Wonderful desert tray. I go with my girlfriend about twice a month.
