G & S Donuts   

We absolutely love our donuts. We don't indulge very often any more but we are quite particular about them. G&S has now stolen us away from our prior preference for Krispy Kremes. Crullers are better, Glazed are better. Chocolate glazed are better, Apple Fritters are better, and the bakery also has a collection of croissants, breakfast buscuits and rollups and kolaches as well. They probably would make some maple bars if we asked, but those don't sell well down here in the south. You owe it yourself to try them twice. The first time you should get a sampler of everything they do. To top it off, they are quite nice. The only thing I would prefer is that i could get a cup of coffee there too. Once I asked for a chili dog and a chili topped burger at one of my favorite burger places in the entire country. The proprieter advised me that he had not had anyone ask for chili dogs or chili on his hamburgers for years and that if i did not like his burgers that much, then I should go get my burgers elsewhere. These folks donuts are gone before you could even dream of dunking them. I can get by without a cup of coffee when I visit them. I hope you will visit them often. They get my highest rating for any donut shop anywhere.
