Its a typical weekday evening at Warrens Restaurant and Lounge. A group of leftover happy hour customers sit at the bar, slugging $2 Miller and Bud drafts. Cindy -- bartender, manager and long-time Warrens regular -- chats with a group of regulars, occasionally pausing to refill a shot glass with Jack Daniels or Captain Morgan. A few families linger at tables, hoping to get their dinner orders in before the kitchen closes at 10pm and discussing whether jalapeno poppers and buffalo-breaded shrimp will suffice as precursors to their chicken Monterey, rib-eye steaks and hamburger platters. No one bats an eye as Elvis walks by the bar en route to the restaurants biggest draw: the 4,000-song karaoke room. The kingly karaoke dynamo pays tribute to Sinatra and Cash between odes to his master, and is more than happy to relinquish the stage to other crooners, including another regular: a tow- headed seven-year-old who does a perfect impression of Leann Rimes.
