Rate and Write a Review The folk-art decor that covers the windows, tables and walls of Baja Burrito looks authentic, but it was actually done by local artists and friends of owners Troy and Jeanie Smith. The colorful appearance increases the appeal for artists and musicians in the Berry Hill neighborhood, as well as the professionals and white-collar workers who pack the place at lunch. This small restaurant offers mission-style burritos (diners go down the line and tell the server what items they want in their tortilla) and a Baja-style fish taco, made from beer-battered cod fillets wrapped in a corn tortilla with a special white tartar sauce and cabbage. Since Jeanie Smith is a vegetarian, the beans are made without meat and the vegetarian burrito comes with a special mixture of sauteed mushrooms, peppers and onions. Health-conscious diners will appreciate the use of brown rice. Be prepared to rub elbows with other diners in the small dining room, or if the weather is nice, to sit outside at patio or picnic tables. --Vicki Brown
