Station Inn   

If you're into authentic, live, foot-stompin', toe-tappin' bluegrass, the Station Inn is the hottest spot in Nashville. It's tucked away on 12th Avenue South, far away from the downtown hustle 'n' bustle, in an area of town known as The Gulch. But be warned, anyone who knows bluegrass knows about this little place, with walls covered by old posters of previous shows (such as Bill Monroe). It's a spot where you can appreciate the best talent Nashville has to offer in a cozy, relaxed, unpretentious environment, without the hard edges of some other music venues. Despite its not-so-central location and lack of unnecessary hoopla, this place is in high demand. Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, and sell-outs are common. The doors open at 7PM. The music starts at 9PM, and it's well worth coming two hours early to get a seat.
