Since beer is one of the main reason diners come to Blackstone, the six-beer sampler is a great place to start your meal. From an English-style Nut Brown Ale to an Irish stout, the sampler offers all of the house specials. The laid-back atmosphere and solid menu of pub food attracts professors from nearby Vanderbilt University, serious beer drinkers, a few tourists and a large number of families. Applesauce and M&M's come with any order from the children's menu, and the staff is child-friendly. Meat lovers can chow down on certified Black Angus beef dishes such as ribs and burgers; fish and chips are another popular menu item.
