Brown's Diner   

Housed in an old refurbished trailer, Browns Diner has long been a favorite place to hangout for the Belmont, Vandy and Hillsboro area locals. And its no wonder: The owners claim to make their money on cheap beer and burgers. Well, in this case well say the burgers are inexpensive. There arent many in town better than Browns. You can go as you are (hopefully its hungry and thirsty) and come out not knowing where the time has gone. The place is definitely on the smoky side, not to mention crowded, but after a few beers at less than $2, you wont care. Pitchers run in the $7 range, so the best deal is to keep the glasses coming. -- Rebecca Malone Melo
