Comfort zone
Joey K's is a local institution with good, basic food, and lots of New Orleans' atmosphere. Limited menu since Katrina, but you can't go wrong with daily specials, such as pork chop with white beans. Down-home cooking

I am a local and I eat here at least three times a week. You know the food is good and cheap when you see cops and firemen. Try the Tuesday special. It is the best Rueben in town. I like the turkey Rueben.
