For late-afternoon martinis, late-night dancing and gourmet pizza, the Bombay Club is a tribute to raj-like extravagance. Located in the Prince Conti Hotel just off Bourbon Street, the restaurant and bar is a magnet for late-night, sophisticated revelers in search of a piano bar. Rich, dark wood, candlelight and overstuffed leather chairs create a distinctively British ambience. A small courtyard and four curtained booths provide a setting for intimate dining. There's also a one-table billiard room off the main dining area. The regular dinner menu is a mix of American steakhouse and Creole, with shrimp remoulade served in a martini glass, Creole/Asian marinated crispy boneless half duckling, barbecue shrimp, and a 10-ounce center-cut prime tenderloin. For late-night dining, the choices range from omelets -- Stilton cheese is a common ingredient - - to po' boys, burgers, shrimp and pesto pizza and barbecue chicken pizza. To start or end the evening, there are more than 115 martinis from which to choose. -- Ian Sax

Nice martini menu!

This place is worth the trip off of Bourbon Street. The martini menu has something for every taste. The live music was perfect - it fit the mood and was not too loud (a pet peeve of mine). Can't speak to the food but can't imagine that it is lacking if it compares to the martinis and ambiance.

We went here for Dinner on Sunday night. Some times you hit a great restaurant on the wrong night and I think this happened to us. We were seated in a private booth with a table, very romantic and would recommend. We ordered a couple glasses of wine and then we found out the hard way they were short staffed (we hope). Our wine never came and after several passes from our waiter I went to the service bar where our glasses had been sitting for at least ten minutes. The bartender saw me grab them and then came over to apologize. I ordered the Bombay Filet and my girlfriend ordered the Pork. The apple, walnut, brie salad was very good. The Filet was good the pork was a bit overcooked but still tasty. WE had a couple after dinner drinks that were fabulous. Despite the lackluster service, albiet friendly, we would give the Bombay another shot for the atmosphere alone.

I have never eaten the first bite of food here, yet, the bar is exceptional. I love a good martini and boy do they have some to choose from, wonderful. The live music creates a fun atmosphere and it is a nice layed back crowd without all of the rif-raf of nearby bourbon street. I higly reccomend for a place to go have a night cap after dinner elsewhere, I feel certain the food is excellent as well, but I have yet to see for myself, hopefully I will get a chance to go soon, I certainly look forward to my next martini there.
