Rate and Write a Review Located in the heart of Bourbon Street, Razzoo is the tourist's dance club. Below its red neon sign, employees stand with posters advertising drink specials. Inside, two bars straddle a medium-sized dance floor, while the front reveals a bandstand with a drum set prominently displayed in the window. Sometimes cover bands play songs along the lines of 'Who Let the Dogs Out,' but usually there is just one person onstage, singing along to records and trying to excite the crowd. The music is a harmless mix of mainstream dance hits, current and old, with nothing to offend a customer. The clientele comes from all over the country and ranges in age from boisterous frat boys to sloppy-dancing fortysomethings. If you can work your way past these party animals, you'll find Razzoo's outdoor patio toward the back. You can buy a shooter from a wandering "shot girl" or grab a beer and sit at a table by the fountain. The patio can be a refreshing breath of clean air from the smoky, sweaty dance room. Of course, if you were looking for a calm, clean place to relax, you wouldn't be on Bourbon Street in the first place.
