From its first day, Emeril's Restaurant & the multitalented man who reinvents it with every meal became the focus of ecstatic praise. A decade after Emeril's Restaurant exploded onto the culinary scene, Emeril's has evolved & transformed itself for the 21st century by updating its flagship restaurant. Completed in 2000, the innovative details reflect the significance of the warehouse district location, new New Orleans cuisine & Emeril?s extensive wine list. The Food Bar is framed by a tapestry of glass encased spices showcasing the bold & creative flavors that Chef Emeril features. Emeril's state of the art kitchen is visible from the main dining room. Although walk-ins can be accommodated, reservations are highly recommended. Our dress policy is casual with no sleeveless shirts for men, no hats or flip flops. David Slater, Chef de Cuisine, and Kevin Delaune, General Manager, are dedicated to providing you with that memorable dining experience.

Disappointed
By mynewbrain on 07/16/2007
Six Alabama friends and I dined at Emeril's in New Orleans in July to celebrate my 60th birthday and completed PhD. The service and ambiance were fabulous; the food not so much. We will visit other of he wonderful restaurants New Orleans has to offer on our next visits. My specific complaint concerns the Moroccan salmon with salad. The salmon was a 3" by 3" piece of bland fish. The salad consisted of one, yes one, small leaf of curly endive, and one tiny grapefruit segment. Even after having dessert, I left the restaurant hungry, which was unacceptable for the price of the meal and Emeril's reputation.

A food experience
By vnemara on 10/18/2006
I have returned to Emrils year after year as a special present to myself. The food changes with every visit. It is excellent, fresh and an experience. It is pricey but well worth the money. Don't expect the dinner to be quick. It is an experience that you need to enjoy and savor. Dinner usually take 2 1/2 - 3 hours. There are generally 3 waiters and a wine steward who fall over you with help and assistance. It is on my to do list every time I visit New Orleans. Glad that it was able to come back after the hurricane. Good Luck Emrils.

Simply Wonderful
By txfloodadjuster on 10/04/2006
We have enjoyed Emeril's 3 times since Hurricane Katrina. The food and the specials where out of this world. Best bet is to call ahead a couple weeks and sit at the food bar. Wow what a show those chefs put on. Not to mention you can take a look at everything before you order. Extensive wine list (greek to me) but we managed to put away 3 bottles on our last trip. Emeril lost about 200k in rare and expensive wines when the cellar flooded during katrina. All the labels came off and they where drunk for days. Ask if Emeril will be there on the night of your visit. He will pose for pictures and sign autographs if asked nicely. We asked out waiter and he hooked it up. I give it a 10 out of 10, 2 thumbs up. Im in N.O. this month and have my birthday reservations already. Cheers!
