Rate and Write a Review This is where queers come to be guys. The Boiler Room is an East Village institution, a great dive where fabulosity is not required. A pool table (with disco ball overhead) and pinball machine set a relaxed tone, although it's been the scene of many wild scenes over the years. It's plenty charged sexually when crowded, and the diversity keeps things more interesting than the guppie homogeneity in Chelsea. If you don't like the pickins, though, you can walk two steps to The Bar, another gay bar on the corner which might as well be the same place. -- Dan Glass

Boiler room is the place to be
I have been going to boiler room for the past 4 years now and it only seems to keep getting better. The bartenders are the coolest ******* people. They are always giving you attention. Always accommodating, getting into the music and keeping the party vibe going. The drinks specials are good enough to make your liver sing. They make the drinks strong and are quick with preparing them. On the drink special night I would say Tip heavy. the 3 dollar drink special gets you the average size drink at a lower price. if you tip 2 bucks per drink you are still saving 3 to 4 dollars once you factor in the difference between prices at other bars and the tip you give them. They have a Digital jukebox that has thousands of sounds that you can search through as if it was ITunes. Their is a pool table and plenty of non pretenious people. This place is the anti Chelsea. Just real people and no plastics !! hahaha
Love boiler room just keep getting better. I will always be a fan
