Parking for witches only greets the sign on the door, and a pentagon in the window forewarns of the freakazoidal wiccans who work in this enchanting magic shop. Medieval swords hang from the ceiling; dragon statuettes, gargoyles, crystal jewelry, tarot cards, essential oils, candles, and books on UFOs and other such inexplicable occurrences line the walls. The rich scents of homemade incense abound and lend an air of relaxation, but the voodoo dolls and cauldrons can be slightly off-putting. Jars of raw herbs fill the shelves: lavender, rue, St Johns wort, rosemary, sandalwood, heather, slippery Elm, dandelion leaves, elder flowers, all-spice berriesconsult the ZZ-Top bearded man in the back of this time-warped shop to find out just how these natural herbs will work magic, for or against you. -- Ali Morra
