Rate and Write a Review Most people do a double take when they see a sharply dressed Samuel L. Jackson standing casually on 42nd street. Or Patrick Stewart. Or J.Lo. Madame Tussauds masterful wax replicas demand a second look -- just to verify that these lifelike statues aren't breathing -- and the staff smartly plants one or two of them out on the street in order to snag passersby. The New York incarnation of the popular London and Las Vegas attraction boasts hundreds of these clones. The most fun exhibit features a cocktail party -- complete with ambience and music -- attended by celebrities and local big shots like Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani and Woody Allen. But perhaps the most effective display is 'Hope:' an eerie recreation of the three firemen hoisting an American flag at Ground Zero. Most figures aren't roped off so you're free to inspect and even touch (carefully). So take a camera because you won't want to miss what is a sure bet photo opportunity. -- Raven Snook
