I took my family to celebrate Christmas, Cuban style, and there was nothing Cuban about this place. The service was terrible, they gave us bread without plates, forks, or knives. We eat bread like cave people. The place was dirty and our joy was slowly during to dispair. Since the guy who makes the mojots called in sick and no one else could mix a drink we couldn't even toast to our bad luck. The food bad me sick. DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!

Under the new ownership this venerable old Cuban Cafeteria has been greatly improved, both the menu and the service. The Cuban Sandwiches are be best norht of Miami. The newly expanded Floridata Tapas next door, offers generous true Spanish tapas. On Wednesday and Fridays evenings after 9 PM a fairly decent Flamenco tablau entretains the diverse clientely that runs from Columbia University professors and students to locals represenatitves of the various ethnicities of WestSide Harlem.

This place serves good hearty spanish food. Nothing special or different, OK service, good prices. There are places like this on every corner uptown. Great for lunch.
