Molly's warm interior, pleasing old-school jukebox and regular-Joe crowd makes every visit here seem almost like a privilege. However, the only real levity you're going to find is in the football game on the telly and the sawdust shavings on the floor. If your party gets too rowdy or your order too complex, you'll incur a pointed, melodramatic sigh from one of the lassie-waitresses. The well-worn fireplace gets put to good use on dark, cold nights. The menu includes one of the city's mightiest burgers, a ten ounce sirloin behemoth, and while there may be some liquor bottles within the barkeep's grasp, you'll be ordering a Guinness if you know what's good for you.

Atmosphere fine, food not so
I have been going to Molly's for at least a dozen years, but have trailed off as I notice a downgrade in kitchen fare. Last time I was there, and I mean the last time, I had fish and chips that were served cold, greasy, and undercooked. The waitress promised me my money back, and I never got it. Didn't make an issue of it, passed it off as a good place gone bad. The bar is fine and friendly, and if I'm in the neighborhood, I'll stop in for a pint, but skip the food.
great burgers and atmosphere
just a couple of blocks from the police academy, a nice quaint irish pub with cold beer and good food. a must visit if you like quiet irish pubs

when i worked in the neighborhood it was my favorite eating and drinking establishment - the best irish pub anywhere in the US.
