Though it doubles as a trendy billiards bar on weekends, this cavernous space-age lounge was designed primarily for big-time corporate events. Accordingly, the retail menu (chicken quesadillas, crab cakes, etc.) is modest; the culinary big guns (chicken boursin, grilled halibut with saffron vinaigrette, swordfish with picante buerre blanc) are reserved for the prix- fixe catering menu. Either way, the food is almost beside the point. The real star here is the space: a jaw-dropping, 16,000-square-foot air- inflated bubble, fully six stories high and squeezed into the former office space over Bowlmor Lanes. The look is otherworldly; the sound and video are state-of-the-art; the ethos -- already feeling a little dated -- recalls the unapologetic excesses of pre-crash Silicon Alley chic. -- Jacob Levich
