Russian Vodka Room   

Russians are very racially aware of whiteness and rather crude in general.

I was with an Indian woman at this bar - a regular patron. That night two women were making strongly racist comments and decided to pick on my friend, assuming she was of Islamic origin. They continued to insult her and one of them scratched her upper arm. When no one defended her at some point she had enough and decided to fight back, throwing her drink in their direction. The owner, who had seen everything, wanted my friend to change tables, and my friend refused saying that they had been racist, and the owner should be defending her, esp since she was a regular patron. We could not believe that (1) such racism can exist and is tolerated in a bar in Manhattan in this day and (2) the owner had sided with the white women and not his regular customer, apparently because of her racial origin. Needless to say, neither I nor my friends will patronize this bar again. Very disturbing experience!
