In ShortBanquettes greet guests of the narrow, low-lit space, with a bar leading to further seating in the rear. On weekends, DJs entertain the crowd with rock, funk, '80s and a little old-school hip-hop. A rotating pool of local artists' work hangs on the red walls. The entire scene can be observed from a small balcony. Drinks are simple, with domestic and imported bottled beer and well cocktails coming in at less than $5.Hits: Once you're on that balcony, the bar feels far, far away. Misses: Cocktails are served in plastic cups--which is either really awful or really great, depending on what you're looking for.
