This cozy country restaurant is a good reason for Manhattanites to hop on the Staten Island ferry, if only to view the stars from the patio garden. The contemporary menu, which changes seasonally to capitalize on the bounty of Long Island and New Jersey farms, has featured asparagus, fennel and grapefruit salad; lamb chops glazed with honey and balsamic vinegar; baked clams with bread crumbs, garlic and shallots; and tuna steak glazed with port and porcini mushrooms.

Service pathetic, food fair. Could the wait staff be more rude or indifferent? Is it possible for the Maitre De to be a bigger snob? I gave this place two chances and it fell way short both times.

The food was very good and the service was very quick. I must say I never considered myself a wine snob but the wine service was awful. When you spend good money for good wine it should be served properly. They didn't leave the cork and pouring wa amateurish and the table next to me was served their wine when their bottle was apparently opened at the bar. someoen must have a nice cork collection. I've never sent anything back in a restaraunt, I've worked in them, but I would have said no thanks if you don't open the bottle in front of me.
