In 1949, Joe Moreno opened the doors to his restaurant, temporarily calling it "Broadway Joe" - because his name was Joe and he was on block away from Broadway. In 1953 looking for a typical New York restaurant, a film crew shooting the "FBI Story" with Jimmy Stewart, choose to feature "Broadway Joe" in an unforgettable scene. In 1970, Joe Namath, famous quarterback of the New York Jets, acquired the nickname "Broadway Joe" and frequented the restaurant and brought sports legends, as well as stars from Broadway shows to dine here. Over the years, Broadway Joe Steakhouse has been immortalized in books and described as a famous New York landmark.

The Best Food & Service in NYC
By lcoryea on 12/21/2005
While visiting NYC we ate a various Famous resturants to be disappointed over and over. One night we just didn't feel like going far and it was late we stopped at the first little place we found open. WOW, we had the best service & the best food. The quality and amount of food was like nothing we had been served in NY.

THE WORST - 06/11/05
By bueky1 on 06/12/2005
THIS WAS THE WORST STEAK I EVER HAD. I'VE HAD A BETTER STEAK AT SIZZLER. THE PRIME STEAK WAS SMALL, FATTY AND TOUGH. THE BROCOLLI THAT CAME WITH IT WAS SO HARD, YOU COULDN'T EAT IT. THEY PUT EIGHT OF US AT A TABLE FOR SIX PEOPLE. TWO PEOPLE WERE SITTING OFF THE TABLE. I WILL NEVER GO BACK EVEN IF THEY GAVE ME THE MEAL FOR FREE.

Horrible!!
By cchips54 on 03/17/2005
Went there for dinner on 3/14/05.They put a 20% off coupon in all the free "Where to Go"mags in the hotel and then cop the worst attitude when you present it.Our waiter ignored us and nebver came back to see if everything was ok or to see if we wanted drink refills or anything.Couldn't get his attention at the end and had to flag down another waiter to try and get our bill. This guy made this the worst dining experience we have ever had in NYC.Gives new meaning to the word"RIP_OFF".Too many other great places in the city..STAY AWAY!!
