Rate and Write a Review The ScenePicture windows and a sidewalk awning blend this bistro into its picturesque, tree-lined stretch of Sixth Street. The simply set space--with dark woods and old photographs of the namesake city, and frosted ceiling lamps to cast a soft glow--is enlivened by the chatter of its neighborhood clientele. The FoodExpect a meat-heavy menu, of course, but one that you'll have to navigate for kinks. To start, a hit-or-miss (though generous) sampling of blood sausage, sweetbreads, kidney and chorizo is trumped by pastry-like empanadas that flake away to sweet corn and chicken fillings. Far superior in meats are the grilled entrees. An expertly seared filet mignon remains pink-centered, and Argentinian chicken retains its juices post-rotisserie--although short ribs suffer from lack of trimming. Follow the lead of other diners by choosing the tasty side of thick-cut fries over mushy mashed potatoes--but whatever you choose, save room for crepe-like caramel pancakes oozing sugary goodness.
