Buenos Aires is a pocket of meat-centered authenticity in the East Village, with a cafe-like interior straight out of Argentina. Dark wooden floors and brick walls enhance the ambience, as do wooden tables and one large back booth with rawhide covered cushions. A nice long bar and rear garden complete the picture. Chunky salads like the Russian (potatoes, peas and mayonnaise), Caprese and even a Waldorf are a good way to start your meal, though so is the grilled calamari over baby arugula. The grilled list continues with veal, short ribs, blood sausage, grass-fed rib eye, filet mignon and just about anything else you can think of that would hold up to the flames.

WORTH IT'S WEIGHT IN GOLD

This is truly a wonderful gem of a place. First off, they serve hot bread which to me is a sign of a good restaurant, yes, small details are important! The food was prompt, hot, delicious, wait staff was wonderful and the price was very reasonable. I will definitely be going back to this restaurant many times in the future with friends and family. In this day and age where the customers are paying the very high rents of the restaurants here in NYC, it's refreshing to have good, abundant food at a decent price. GO THERE!!
