Café Centro is a bustling midtown brasserie with a stylish look that echoes the glamour of Paris in the 1930's. Guests can watch Executive Chef Franck Deletrain as he prepares French-inspired cuisine with Mediterranean accents and sear top quality steaks. Pastry chef Philippe Faillait's sumptuous desserts are not to be missed. The well priced wine list has received numerous Wine Spectator awards and has been voted "Best Beaujolais Bistro". Regular wine dinners are well attended. The attached Beer Bar is a great place for New York?s best burger, a casual lunch or to unwind over draft beers and cocktails. A little of Paris in NY
By sunsplash517 on 10/18/2006
Modeled after a classic Parisian bistro, Café Centro is a truly a gem in midtown. The design features terrazzo floors inlaid with marble, delicately detailed columns accented with gold leaf above sculpted friezes of fish, birds, and animals, a beautiful wood ceiling, and soft amber lighting. Art Deco touches, a glass-enclosed kitchen, and a hearth rotisserie add to the sophisticated air of the Café. French cuisine with American and international influences never fails to impress and the new fall menu is fantastic.

Paris in New York!
By lspeier5 on 10/12/2006
Café Centro is “the soul of Paris in the heart of New York”. My office is in the Met Life building, and I go there all the time for the French cuisine. There is something for everyone here from the excellent salads to the fresh fish and the dessert menu is delectable! The beautifully-detailed wood ceiling, soft amber lighting, and fully exposed glass kitchen add to the sophisticated air of the Café. It's my little escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Consistenly Excellent

I've had consistently excellent food and service through the years. Great seafood. Great setting. Great location if you commute to Grand Central. Neither my guests nor I have ever been disappointed. You won't be either!
