UMM UMM GOOD!!!

I love this place. Whether you decide to try something exotic or traditonal, I'm sure that you'll agree with me when I say that this ice cream is the best. If you're down in NYC to try something new, I would go for the lychee, red bean, or the mango with some lychee topping or some red bean sauce. This place is so good that even their vanilla is outstanding!!

Grab Some Good Luck with FortuneCookie IceCream
By sonicglory on 07/17/2002
I found this gem on Bayard Street after dining at the now defunct 'Ba-Ba's'. The one of a kind 'Almond Cookie' ice cream, dotted with fortune cookie bits, is spectacular and definately worth a taste. There are free trial tastes anyway so you can sample all the ice cream you want. The Green Tea flavour can use a little tinkering since it is less richer and much lighter in flavour and colouring than the standard Jap restaurant fare. The only thing I can complain about is the tacky 'in-your-face' tipping notion. The counter is very small and the place itself is compact but they have huge plastic tipping jars positioned on the counter, about 12 inches apart. For such a small place, they have 3 tipping jars set up.... a bit too much, don't you think?
