The room is always rocking at Wildwood, and the youngish crowd that packs the place is well served by a big, gutsy barbecue menu. The barbecue varies from exceptional to just ok, and sometimes sauces get in the way of smoke, but this isn't a purist's paradise: it's a place to have fun, eat ribs, and rock out. It also just happens to have a spectacular burger.

Im the regular type guy who is not impresed by the trendy formular style restuarants . But still some what unpretensious----- Food and service is acceptable.(***3 Stars/Good) I guess someone has to pay for the investment put in to the place.Portion sizes could bebetter fo r the bucks.I still must admit I work in the area and adicted to BBQ so its conveinant to get my fix when i crave--- I've already have been there three times and will most likely go back again.

sophisticated, not good

the ambiance is nice, but the food is horrible, and its a good thing they give small portions, because its not good enough to eat. this is a nice place to have a drink, and be on your blackberry at the same time, because then you will fit right in.

Frenchstyle portions in Spain?
By dolphinity28 on 09/17/2006
My expectations where high since I frequent many of the B.R. Guests restraunts in NYC... The leather bound tables and heavy menu books were more filling than the meal. I wasn't looking for family-style, but the appetizers where so teeny tiny it was difficult to share and taste w/ friends. The food taste as well as the portion size (which oddly got smaller with each order) was not worth the visit. The Paella De Carne, the short ribs and the halibut where average. The fritters (a dessert) was a definite blahh and the cheese cake although somewhat tasty was probably more suited for a frenchman who is too greedy to share. The ice cream was the tastiest thing on the menu, but the cookies that adorned the plate where not. They where dry sugar cookies, not worth dipping into the icecream. Dos Caminos or the Blue Fin are definitely a better choice from the BR Guest family I will continue to patron them. As for Barca 18 I am scratching that off my BR Guest dining circut card.
