A classic tavern: During the day, delivery people on lunch break share space at the bar with smartly dressed neighborhood professionals. To avoid an overcrowded back room packed with baseball hat-wearing Village rovers, come early, while the sun is still streaming through the dusty windows. Besides cold beer and a full bar, the Bistro keeps its options simple. The burger--small, juicy and incredibly messy--is the best in the neighborhood and certainly among the very best in the city. Other options on the Spartan menu include chili, a BLT and a wonderfully marinated, jaw-stretching grilled chicken sandwich. Fries are always crisp and tasty.

An Excellent Burger hands down!
I have been to the Corner Bistro several times and have never been disappointed. The burgers are cook to perfection under a caterpillar. Nothing fancy about the place at all. The fries are very ordinary shoe string fries. I have always wished they would change them but I don't go there for the fries. Thouoght I will continue to go back they are still not the best burger in NY. My vote still goes to Donovan's in Queens. It will be worth the trip. This comes for "THE" Burger Conniosseur.
Corner Bistro still tops after all these years
The Corner Bistro is the Peter Lugars of places to get a great no frills hamburger in Manhattan. A hole in the wall.....yes. Away from the tourist traps.........yes. The way Manhattan use to be,a throw back in time if you will.....compared to the Disneyland it's become. Try it and see what I mean,on second thought don't.....this place is actually awful,try a more trendy place in Times Square.
