In ShortJust around the corner from 6th Street's India Row, this elegant eatery--with orange walls, soft lighting and high-backed banquettes capable of accommodating large parties--exudes a formal mood. Jacketed servers deliver a colorful array of vegetarian dishes, as well as classic staples, such as tandoori chicken, lamb biryani and goat cooked in yogurt and almonds. The vindaloo is one of the city's spiciest.

Great Place, Delicious Food!
By sashenka13 on 04/09/2004
Haveli is a great place to eat with pretty moderate prices. I've been there twice and both times I had a great experince. It's a romantic spot with dim lights and a couch-like sitting area (there are also regular tables.) It's not too crowded and has nice Indian music in the background. The food is great and their portions are very generous! Their breads are always hot and delicious! If you like Indian food but don't like it too spicy, they will make it according to your taste. Appetizers range from $3.50 - $7 (approx!) And an average main course meal is $16! Try Haveli's "non-vegetarian" combination of meats as a main course meal - it's super tasty! =) Enjoy!
