Rate and Write a Review Suspended above Columbus Circle, this chic Time Warner Center steakhouse is a fine descendant of chef Michael Lomonaco's former eatery, Windows on the World. He's a big-time chef deserving of another big-time space. There are about half a dozen of the namesake steaks -- dry-aged USDA cuts of tenderloin, as well as Berkshire pork, veal and lamb chops, with bourbon peppercorn or Napa Cabernet sauces. There's even a monkfish porterhouse on the bone, a concept that might give the old-school steak house crowd a heart attack, in case their diets don't do it first. What makes Porter House appealing for a much more mainstream crowd -- besides the elbow room and Pottery Barn color scheme -- is a pleasing and portly non-meat menu and stunning views toward Central Park.
