Republic Restaurant   

Earlier today i had my first experience at Republic. Let me tell you that it was probably the worst experience i have ever had in a food establishment..... EVER. I was served the worst bowel of wonton soup ever, not to mention the most revolting green tea on earth. But i think that the most interesting aspect of the visit wasn't the food it was the service. Our waiter never returned to the table to see if everything was ok, or to offer refills, or anything like that. The host, when approached, was a smart a** and the manager never came to the table to fix anything or apologize. I come from a food background and i would have to say that this whole incident was miss handled from the beginning.

This is my favorite place in NYC - My Wife and I love Republic. When we are able to get out and leave the kiddies home, we haed to Republic..Watercress Salad and The Spinach Noodles are #1 on our list..you wont be disappointed.

The "urban sheik" staff offers quick service...great menu...reasonable prices...They also keep a Fabulous seasonal drink menu! Its a must if you are looking for a fab quick meal in union square!
