Pastry shops around town that whip up their own version of the cannoli can just throw in the towel: Rocco's Pastry Shop already makes what is arguably the best in the city. The popular ricotta-stuffed treats, along with an eye-poppingly large selection of sweets and pastries, attract a loyal group of patrons, who enjoy lounging at the tiny tables while sipping cappuccinos. And although the place can get crowded, it's spacious enough for you to find a spot and enjoy that tart all to yourself. Of course, don't pass up Rocco's scrumptious selection of almond pignoli cookies, potent babas au rhum, crunchy anise biscotti and mile-high napoleons. And apparently, the paper cups here are pretty popular, too: Contestants from the reality-TV show 'The Apprentice' grabbed a few when, in one episode, they had to peddle lemonade to passers-by. Now that's something worth putting a cannoli on hold to see.
