The SceneMost of the patrons are tourists, but you may spy a few locals noshing away-- though they may deny it later. The chain's ostentatious Eastern-flavored decor looks like something out of the Asian pavilion at Disney's Epcot Center: Red cloth lanterns hang from high ceilings, oriental prints adorn the walls and a gold, supermodel-thin Buddha presides over diners. The FoodWhile the samplers seem like the way to go, it's actually better to mix and match dishes like the sumptuous Malaysian curried chicken potstickers and the crispy calamari. Lobster and shrimp spring rolls and vegetable dumplings tend to be on the bland side, and while the sushi is tasty, it's not always spectacularly fresh.

Must Try Once - 07/07/05
By sean2c on 07/07/2005
This is definitely a restaurant everyone should try once. Call for reservations or else you'll be stuck with a wait. We had 5:30 reservations and were seated immediately even though we showed up about 20 minutes late (darn NY traffic). Entrees are enough for 1 person not 2 so make sure if you want to share entrees to order 2. We ordered 2 appetizers, 1 soup and an entree for 2 of us. Fantastic dining experience, great service, reasonable priced considering you're in the middle of Times Square.

THE TRUTH.......
By jhnthro on 12/07/2004
My boyfriend took me on a date to Ruby Foos on a Saturday. It took forever to be seated. I give the waiters' and seats a big fat zero 00000 . The seats were too close together; it was about 3inches apart from each other.(TERRIBLE) I felt like we were in a lunch room.they dont serve much food but its not that bad. I must admit the food was deliscious! It's very clean you can see the chefs' prepare everything from scratch. The food came in about 8 minutes. Last but not least, The decor and ambience was on point(beutiful)xoxo.
