Favortie place for live music
By nuza19 on 02/18/2008
I recently went to SOBs for their Valentine's concert this past week that featured the AMAZING Amel Larrieux and it was rocking. I love Amel and had not yet had the chance to see her in concert so when I found out that she would be performing there I made sure I grabbed a ticket almost immediately. I was also lucky enough to reserve a table(the show got sold out and was packed) and have dinner there (but I also saw people eating at the bar). I absolutely fell in love with the Feijoada which was the best I had ever had. Amel rocked the house and had the crowd going absolutely wild. I've also been to one of their Sol Village performances. I saw flyers for shows happening there this month and they seem to have all types of music. SOBs is without a doubt my new favorite place for live music. -Nicolas G.

S.O.B.'s is a BLAST!
By samba34 on 01/09/2008
I've been to S.O.B.'s on a bunch of different nights and each time was great! From Hip Hop to Salsa nights the music has been incredible. I was there recently with my girlfriends on a friday night (Salsa) and we danced our asses off! And there Mojitos are hands down the best Mojitos on the island of Manhattan!

Kompas Fridays
By chatela122574 on 08/17/2006
It's a shame your review only mention Afterwork Salsa Fridays, because I have been going to S.O.B. just about every friday night since January 2005 for Kompas Fridays. S.O.B. is the place to be on Friday nights after 11 if you want to hear the hottest Kompas bands in the world. Although, most of these Haitian bands tour outside of the country during the summer, S.O.B. continues to bring premier Haitian talent to NYC on Fridays. They always find a way to keep it hot and I always find a way to get there. Check out their website and see for yourself!
