SAVOY is a restaurant with a simple thought: that we can create memorable meals by sourcing the best ingredients from farmers we know, and augmenting those flavors with a straight forward cooking style. Our cuisine combines the tradition of great country cooking with the creativity emblematic of downtown New York City. There is always a friendly surprise to be found on the Savoy menu. We continuously evolve new menu items to reflect the changing seasons, and pursue traditional preparations that have been cast aside as our culture rushed to embrace modern technology. Savor the deeper flavors of cr?me br?l?e burned with an antique fireplace tool, a house charcuterie plate with homemade sopresatta salami or honey from our New York City rooftop hives, drizzled over a bowl of sliced strawberries. Years of building relationships with farmers, chefs and food thinkers has established our deep roots and commitment to great food & hospitality that extends beyond current trends.

Valentines Disaster
By Cliproach on 02/15/2009
Our first time at Savoy, and we were both very excited. Disappointed with the service. The waitress kept wiping her nose then picking up plates and it was obvious she was sick. She did not recommend any other cocktail other then the gin ones on the menu. I asked her if these could be made with vodka instead and she did not KNOW! So I moved off the drink menu. The appetizers we ordered were just ok not great! Our main courses had to be sent back it was COLD. The steak and potato was not even cooked. I HAD TO ASK THE BARTENDER FOR ANOTHER DRINK AND MORE WATER? SERVICE? ? WAS Terrible! My Pig Roulade was FATTY AND COLD! Nothing is worse that COLD FAT! I hated the meal but did not send it back twice! But I should have! My Valentines was NOT going to be ruined! Desert was NOT good the creme brulee' was served by another waiter at this point and it was cold! The heart cookies they gave as a treat from the chef, they could have kept it! It was NOT A GOOD MEAL AT ALL! EXPENSIVE AND NOT WORTH IT!

Classy 8/14/05

A lovely experience....Service -great, mojitos-excellent, rabbit appetizer-delicious, steak-flavorful & tender, pork -yummy. We appreciated being told upfront how much each special cost. (Most restaurants neglect to mention that unless you ask or get a surprise with your bill.) The restaurant is very pretty & romantic. The fireplace would be grand on a winter's evening. Best for couples or groups. Would not recommend for children.
