Snack Taverna   

this is the best greek restaurant in new york city hands down...I dont know what that other "critic" was talking about as everything we experienced from the excellent service to the outstanding food was a delight. Kudos Taverna very authentic and the high quality and low prices cant be beat! The place is always packed so make a reservationto ensure a seat!

Snack Taverna was possibly the worst dining experience I’ve ever had in this city. While our server was attentive and friendly, the food was average, at best, and the attitude of the host, bartender and manager was obnoxious and unprofessional. We confronted the manager on a couple of issues (one about a problem with the food and another about an inappropriate comment the bartender had made to us), and his manner of responding to our complaints was extremely disappointing and, frankly, ruined my appetite. On top of that, he didn’t offer to compensate us in any way. (A complementary dessert or similar would have been suitable.) I will never go back to this restaurant, and I would never recommend it to anyone. For an enjoyable experience at a restaurant in this neighborhood, try Wallsé, Casa, The Spotted Pig, or Da Andrea.
