Rate and Write a Review The celebrated Soho storefront became so popular, it opened a sister location in Hell's Kitchen. Its artisanal touch is evident in its handcrafted, natural-ingredient-only products. Where else can you find freshly baked, plump loaves of pane integrale, filone, pane pugliese, and stirato that look like they were imported directly from Italy? In addition to its two storefronts, gourmet food stores like Garden of Eden, Fairway and Citarella carry their goods. With only a scattered chair or two on the premises, it's mostly a counter shop. But that doesn't slow the masses from stopping in for a quick bite of flat bread pizza. Covered in single toppings such as mushrooms, cherry tomatoes or spinach, these square-cut Roman-style pizza slices make a cheap and savory on-the-run snack. Ironically, the only thing sweet in the bakery is a tart. -- Ashley Lederer
