With its pricey antiques and beautiful art galleries, Red Bank is a town that could bring your financial standing down by a couple of notches. Be a smart shopper. When you come in for the weekend, stretch your dollars a little further by staying at the Courtyard by Marriott. Originally designed as a respite for business travelers, this particular outpost of the Marriott hotel chain features 146 spacious rooms, each with large sitting areas, a work desk, two phones with data ports, Internet access, and a coffee maker. The hotel also offers many other amenities, including an indoor swimming pool, whirlpool and exercise room -- as well as an on-site restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner. Work out before you get to breakfast so you can enjoy the breakfast buffet guilt-free. Nearby sight-seeing opportunities (besides all the shopping and restaurants in town) include a spa, the Count Basie Theatre, the beach and three major golf courses. Yes, the Courtyard doesn't offer the same personality of a luxury hotel like the Molly Pitcher Inn and you may pine for the little chocolates they leave on your pillow there.
