The Scene: Scenesters who enjoyed the original incarnation of the Pink Elephant in the Meatpacking District now trek to its newer digs in West Chelsea. The hyper-manicured club tries to maintain its former intimate vibe with a sunken dance floor, hedge-lined entrance, glitzy chandeliers, curvaceous seating and ivy-covered walls. Theres even a smoke machine and a scent machine that emits floral scents and libido-enhancing pheromones. However, theres no ignoring that it's doubled in size and is housed in the same building as Crobar. Spotted Here: Like its fellow Chelsea hotspot, Marquee, Pink Elephant stakes most of its celebrity business on the younger of LA's jet set, though the club has also hosted the likes of Diddy, Shakira, Ludacris and other big-name stars. Can I Get In? Bottle service rules here, and if you arent willing to shell out for Cristal, youre not getting a seat. Instead, stake your claim on the dance floor, where the real action is anyway, as the Pink Elephant manages to draw great house DJs. If you're willing to wait a little bit on line, or show up early, you've got a good shot at making it past the velvet rope.
