Quick Tips: 1. Parking -- The numerous lots are color coded and serviced by corresponding colored shuttles. Short-term lots are $2 the first half hour. Long- term lots are about four miles from the terminal. 2. Transportation -- Use uniformed taxi dispatchers. A taxi trip to Manhattan will cost around $34; shuttles run around $15. Shuttles to La Guardia run every 30 minutes and cost $12. 3. Inter-Terminal Transfer -- There are 10 passenger terminals at JFK. Free airport-operated red, white and blue buses take you from terminal to terminal. Taxis are available on-demand. 4. Food -- JFK accomodates nearly every taste in every terminal -- fast food to Napa Valley Wine Bar to Genki Sushi to Manchu Wok. 5. Frustrations -- JFK will be under construction till 2006. Allow plenty of time for unpredictable delays and detours.
