This quintessential old-boys club set down roots in the stereotypical province of the fairer sex -- the mall -- and yet the reservations keep coming in. It seems as if Morton's of Chicago has found its target audience amidst the luxury goods and services of Hackensack's Riverside Mall. And it's not just bag-wielding shoppers; men will find respite in the private executive dining room and a selection of cigars -- including the Nets' Jason Kidd, who's been known to drop in for a post-game meal. Meanwhile, a dress code that bars jeans, T-shirts, shorts and sandals clears away any doubt that this shopping mall location might detract from the restaurant's well-deserved status as one of the finest steakhouses in the country. Morton's, as most know, is famed for its generous portions of USDA prime aged beef, the featured cut being the 24-oz. porterhouse. But the meltingly good Godiva chocolate souffle takes the proverbial cake. Morton's is also known for its signature style of service: the menu is displayed on carts rolled to your table. -- Lynn A. My Favorite
By Kasey3240 on 07/10/2008
Mortons is one of my favorite restaurants to eat in. The food is excellent.. I always get the Shrimp Alexander, FIlet Oskar, and The Molten Chocolate Cake. I am not usually an adventurous eater, but the Filet Oskar sounded so good, I tried it. Now Im hooked! Its outrageous as is the Shrimp Alexander. Yes it is expensive, but more than worth it.

Nice double filet mignon
By pdwolk on 01/18/2008
Food was good, although pricey, even for a good steakhouse, but we knew that going in. My only complaint was the server, who had a thick accent, and spoke so fast, we had no idea what she was saying, plus the accent prevented any interactive chatter during the meal, which I feel is a necessary addition to make the evening complete. Also, trying to find the restaurant once you're inside the mall is next to impossible. Overall, pleasant, but not worth rushing back to.

Morton's review
By jatrovato on 02/20/2007
I have eaten at several Morton's...Las Vegas, NYC & Atlantic City, and all three have been consistantly very good from start to finish. The service has always been great, and the steaks have always been prepared to our liking. If I had to complain about something then it would be that they put way too much garlic in the creamed spinach. Yes, their prices are very high, but I would rather spend $200 on a great meal then in a casino any day!

Morton's ft.La. and Great neck
By mislea3 on 02/20/2007
I have found in these particular Morton's and any other Morton's on the east coast to be fair at best. I have always had to wait, even with a reservation, the service has been fair to poor. Items have run out ( mashed potatoes), and from the hostess to the wait staff, they all act as though they are doing you a big favor. My husband and I often say ,"let's give them another chance," but each time we do, we are reminded of how we vow to never go back! Proof that expensive does not equal good!! And they have yet to prepare our steaks as we request them.
