Robongi, on busy Washington Street, has already earned a reputation for serving the best sushi in town. With three more Hoboken restaurants to their credit, including Hoboken Cottage just two doors away, Robongi's owners have obviously figured out what locals are looking for -- high quality food like you can get in Manhattan, but at more reasonable New Jersey prices. Take-out and delivery are available, but it's even more fun to stop in and let the accommodating staff make you feel right at home. Take a seat at the sushi bar for a firsthand look at the chef's talents. Traditional rolls are available, from yellow tail to eel and avocado, but insiders know that the chef's specialties such as the Sakura roll (shrimp tempura, cucumber and spicy tuna) are too good to resist. Don't worry if one of your dinner guests isn't a big fan of raw fish because udon and soba noodle soups are available, not to mention beef teriyaki or the crispy fried chicken katsu cutlet. -- Justin Schwartz
