While most of the newly anointed 21-and-up crowd - - complete with beer-chugging frat boys and sparkle- topped sorority sisters -- frequents the dance clubs near Bricktown, the more sophisticated Oklahoma City denizens head to Russells. On most weekends, a local band will perform, and the dance floor is big enough to avoid crowding but small enough to retain an intimate feel. Since Russells is located in the Marriott Hotel, the bar also draws affluent tourists looking for a nightcap. With a high-end clientele, expect to pay high-end prices for drinks. But Russells is an anomaly from the Oklahoma City club scene. Its atmosphere and service offer more of an urban feel that is absent from most of the metros bars, which are of the homespun honky-tonk variety. -- Ben Scott

I have been to Russell's a few times and most times I had much fun. I will admit a couple times I visited, there were definite hookers in the place. In fact their pimp grabbed my arm thinking I was one of his hoes and wasn't working the place. I didn't get offended my husband and I of 10 years laughed it off. Then a guy with a prosthetic leg hands me his leg while I am dancing and tells me to break a leg. I was a tad grossed out, but didnt let it ruin my night. On another occasion I had two hooker looking women telling my husband he was rocking the cradle with me, take in mind he is only 5 years older than I. He did tell them it was better than robbing the grave. But I didn't like the *****'s hitting on my husband. If they can keep the trash out of Russell's it is a good place. I must admit the men I seen in the place besides my husband were mouth watering.
