Nice atmosphere, good drinks
I was in town from San Antonio, TX during the week and had a chance to look around Bricktown. Makers was a very nice place. I didn't think it was overpriced. I also went to a couple other places in Bricktown where the drinks weren't very good--although they were cheaper. So I guess you get what you pay for. If you enjoy ordering your favorite liquor and having it taste like you remember it tasting...then this is a good place to go.

makers bar rocks!!!
The Big Bad But . . .
Yeah, Makers is gorgeous. Makers has big soft leather furniture and that perfect smell of scotch whiskey and cigar. Sure, once you step through the door it doesn't even feel like you're in bricktown anymore. But who can afford to drink here? And I'm not just talking too many super premium liquors on the menu. The problem is too many exagerated prices. Their selection has gone down since opening shop a few years ago, yet the prices have made a steady crawl towards outrageous. Not tomention you pretty much are stuck paying to park downtown, and makers doesn't have a lot or validation. So go ahead and tack on another fiver to your tab. Or go to Flips on western. They've got great selection and decent prices. No leather and pianos though.

The lounge is too expensive and when you start to leave, you'd better check your ticket for items that you did not order!
They did have an awesome jazz band and a friendly waitstaff.
I did enjoy my night out and I am going back tonight.
