The decor is only outdated by 20 years, and the selection of salad dressing leaves you wanting. The waitstaff says that everybody likes their house dressing, but after asking about 50 people over the years, I've only found one person who said they like the dressing. However, the food, service, and house drinks make up for it all. Great food!

When you go to a historical site you can live with the old plastic booth or overcrowding if the food is excellent. It was not. First the hostess acted like she could care less. The wait was excessively long. People herded in a room to placate them while they waited way too long. The two times I went there I got steak and prime rib. Both were mediocre. The salad was old, the dressing covered up the brown edged lettuce. The steak tasted fair, not great. The prime rib tasted terrible. It was too aged and tasted like the meat was bad. I found it very disappointing. Only good thing about it was the company.

Cattleman's has the best steaks you can buy! And I grew up on a ranch where we raised are own beef cattle! The decor isn't fab! But after the food gets there, who cares?

The ribeyes are superb and the house dressing, YUMMY!
