Haunted House Restaurant   

After reading some of the reviews I felt like I was not crazy. For what they charge I can think of other places much much nicer. The servivce is not good. Why they want to seat three couples in the resturant right next to each other is crazy!! My wife and I went there . There weere only two tables and we were all there in this one little room. We had one drink and left. When we started to leave the manager did everything but block the door!! This place has had its better days and the owners hope they get you one time with a big chek because you won"t be back. There olnly hope is out of town visitors.

I will admit that there is potential at this eatery, but I don't know about a great atmosphere. I took my wife to eat here for our birthdays. There were only two other people eating there that night. A couple of older, hard of hearing men. Although there were numerous tables and areas to eat available we were seated next to these loud gentlemen. For a tab that ended up over $130.00 for 2 people, I can think of several other eateries that would have been nicer. The food was so so, I have had better baked potatoes at golden corral, and the salad was not anything fancy for being $6.

I hadn't been to the Haunted House in a while, so when our office was trying to think of a great place to have our Christmas party, I suggested the Haunted House. None of the other had been there and were intreged. They all loved the atmosphere, and the food and the staff!!! We had a great time and the Haunted House has new customers!!

Take a trip back to a time of charm and grace. No fast food style Outback or Johhny Carinos poor food and inept service here-but a step back to Charleston and the old South, with a mixing of Chicago style class. The best food in the State and service attentive but non intrusive. The hard part is not to eat there everyday because after one visit you are going to want to move in.
