It's located out of the way right in town. It has a warm atmosphere which we felt made the evening grand. My wife and I have celebrated our anniversary (Halloween) there many times. The meals were always very good and we would highly recommend The Haunted House!

Yes, 2 stars!

Yes, it's nestled in the woods of northeast OKC. Yes, it's quaint and cozey. Yes, the steak and lobster are amognst the best in the Oklahoma City area (after it's recooked). I had to ask for a fork TWICE! My steak was overcooked the first time, and even after the second cooking of a 'fresh steak?', it was still overcooked. Having to ask for utencils , plus having my $30 steak re-re-cooked, THIS IS NOT WORTH IT!!! The desserts are limited to cheap re-esembled classics with cheap ingredients and bad labor. Cheap powdered cocoa and 'Sara Lee' Ceasar Salad are the only rewards after the long drive.

Beautiful Time
By dancer4pa on 01/17/2005
The only complaint I have about this restaurant is the fact that I froze throughout the entire meal! I will admit it was cold outside, but the heating wasn't exactly doing its job. Besides that, the food was wonderful (I would recommend the fried shrimp) and my boyfriend and I had the most beautiful time. It was romantic and we had time to just sit and enjoy each other's company. We weren't hurried in anyway and at the end of the meal the waitress brought out an "Anniversary cupcake". My boyfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary and didn't order desert, so the waitress brought us some on the house. Overall, a beautiful experience and I would recommend it to anyone.

Expensive, but what isn't?

The service was excellent, the entrees were great, but as with most restaurants in Oklahoma, the shrimp appetizer was not worth the price ($17). Entrees range from $18.50 to $29. Be prepared to drop $150 for appetizer, entree, dessert and coffee. Well worth visiting at least once.
