There aren't many dancehall/reggae venues in Orange County -- the niche genre just isn't big enough to warrant a flood of clubs dedicated to the music, so consider the Atlanta Lounge the last of its kind (until reggae makes another comeback). This modest little space isn't particularly fancy: the room is always dimly lit, the furnishings are forgettable and the visual design has never really been given any thought, but its lack of visual ambience acts as a blank canvas for the colorful features such as well-known DJs, traveling bands and the regulars that make up the majority of the crowd every night. Certain evenings also find the occasional hip-hop event as well as comedy night. If you're a sports fan plan on having a cocktail during the afternoon, Atlanta also doubles as a pretty nice low-key sports lounge during the afternoon.

The rantings below are pure BS
By stiladam on 07/03/2007
I have been going to Atlanta for years, and have never seen (or smelled) any of these things....obviously, these are jealous competitors or black balled drunkards. As far as the racist comments, I think they speak for themselves... My comments: Friendly staff and patrons (always cute bartenders ;-) Excellent handmade Pizza Pie!! Great drinks There is no down side to that! Cheers, -Adam

Compton comes to HB
By oherik on 06/23/2007
Used to be a nice place till all the compton crown came in. They advertise on the rap stations. Its a 2 min walk from my house but i will never go there again. Went one saturday night and i was the only white person in the place. Interior smells horribly!! I could care less if this place burned down. In fact i would love it if it did. IT brings nothing but trash to HB.

TOTALLY GHETTO
By fyrsurf on 02/18/2006
I'VE LIVED IN THE O.C. MY WHOLE LIFE AND I CAN'T BELIEVE THE WAY I FELT TONIGHT AT ALANTIS IN H.B. I FELT LIKE I WAS IN SOUTH CENTRAL LOS ANGELES. THERE WAS A FEELING OF A GANG BANGER INFLUENCE. I'M ALL FOR A GOOD TIME AND FUN AND I'M ONLY 30 Y/O SO I HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT WAS DISAPOINTING. THINK TWICE ABOUT GOING THERE IF YOU LIVE IN THE AREA AND WANT TO GO TO A LOCAL BAR TO HAVE FUN AND DANCE!!!!!!!!
