The old west exterior of the Grant Boys looks more OK Corral than Costa Mesa, but it makes for a can't-miss landmark. The large shop is loosely divided into sections for guns, hunting, fishing and camping. Despite its primary reputation as a gun shop, the store appeals to most every outdoors enthusiast. The regular stock includes clothing (as in Levi's and lots of camouflage), fishing equipment and camping necessities ranging from pots and pans to bug spray. The store issues Basic Firearm Safety Certificates, and the expert staff preaches safety, both in the use and storage of weapons and ammunition. Fishing and seasonal hunting licenses are also available.
