Black and white checkerboard tile, bright neon, red vinyl, red carpet and gold records evoke comparison to a 1950s diner. The venue is worn around the edges, but the half-hearted interpretation of fifties style of this venue more or less disappears once the music begins to thump. The venue attracts a variety of live bands, and features a good mix of different music, both current and retro. Happy Hour is held from 5 to 7pm daily, though a better choice for food might be Fuddrucker's next door. There are also a few scattered televisions for those into a game, or who have been less successful in the vigorous singles scene. Crowds at the Hop are mixed in age and ethnicity, depending on the live music on tap. -- Rob Norwood

I met my boyfriend there on march 13, 2004..we try to get to the hop at least once a month,,,i love to dance...good thing that my boyfriend likes oldies..he may not have been there that same night I was...I am 55 and he is 34...Girls,,,,look for the younger men if you are 45+...they love us...really....I feel 25...the hop is a great place...it is a shame that I have to come all the way to the hop,,I live in the SFV..but the hop is worth the travel time...

my friends and i love the hop. its a cool place to go and chill with your girls have some drink listen to good music.yeah the dance floor could be bigger but every place has its fault. but the real reason i love the hop is i met my boyfriend there...i know u can't find a good man in a club but i did then again he did work there.
